Golly Moses you've got to be kidding

After a full day of trying to tame my computer so I could post tonight, I gave up, only to find this ad on yahoo! -->

Are you kidding me? *The* party of "family values" and "morals" is testing the waters for a man who was most notable prior to 9-11 for his wife and his mistress having a very public fight over who got to live in the marital abode . You've got to be kidding.

Hypocrites

Yes, you're right it would be nice to have a less hypocritical group than is there now.

But then again this the group/party that waves their "morals" in our face, and wants to place their religion on my body.

As a gay friend of mine said during Terry Schiavo battle "if marriage such a sacred, enviable estate and institution (that we gays are forbidden to enter), why did the Republicans seek to override him and his knowledge of Terry’s wishes. Why didn’t they stand with him?”

hypocrites

And let's not forget his Chief of Police - who damn near became Head of Homeland Security before someone's conscience kicked in they pointed out his Ground-Zero proximity lovenest.

Oh yeah, this guy comes complete with immoral cronies. just add money!

Well, I'm sure the IUPAC can take care of that.

How about if we just kill EVERYONE in the Middle East??

I can't tell you how many rightwing blogs I've seen advocate pretty much that exact idea. I was actually taking part in a discussion last week where several "Christians" and a "Jew" were discussing how genocide would be the best solution for the Palestinian problem. Yikes!

Sadly, a large chunk of this country really doesn't care why we're at war, as long as they preceive that we're winning. It's the U.S. military as pro sports team metaphor.

I'm sure the Palestinian Christians (like Hanan Aswari) feel that warm fuzzy feeling from their Christian brethren. Being Christian and having, in some cases, roots to the time of Christ, is "really working well for them."
